Michael Bastasch, MD. Radiation Oncologist

A participating physician with the Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute’s Gamma Knife Program, Dr. Bastasch has been a practicing radiation oncologist with the Washington Hospital medical community in Fremont, California, since September 2006. He is board certified in radiation oncology and has undergone specialized training in Gamma Knife technology.

Prior to joining the staff at Washington Radiation Oncology Center, Dr. Bastasch served as Chief Resident at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Bastasch received his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas.

The author of numerous articles on a range of topics related to his specialty, Dr. Bastasch is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, Alameda County Medical Society, and the Children’s Oncology Group.
